Summary Jury Trials can take various forms but the primary goals are to make some jury trials more efficient and economical by 1) making them brief and to the point, 2) providing trial dates that are certain and fixed, 3) that abbreviates and focuses the pretrial process, 4) encourages evidentiary agreements, and 5) that are either partially or wholly voluntary.
