Deposing the Defense Medical Expert

The deposition or cross of a defense medical examiner offers not only the challenges of matching wits with a highly educated medical professional but also the opportunities for the examining lawyer to bolster their case, build their own credibility, and to attack or discredit the defense case.

As always, the challenge in a difficult deposition or cross is to remain intellectually above the fray while never surrendering the goals or motivation for taking the deposition in the first place.

This program will offer practical suggestions on how to prepare and conduct the deposition or cross of the defense medical examiner such that the questioning lawyer comes away from the experience with a better case, better credibility, and an opposing lawyer wondering exactly what just happened.

Michael P. Doyle
Mike Doyle's trial practice includes representing plaintiffs in maritime personal injury, international and trans-national personal injury, including work and holiday injury claims, and insurance bad faith.
